This project was part of a broader intiaitive to make a large set of tools feel more centralizaed and connected. Users did not want to feel like the had use hundreds of tools, they wanted to feel like that had to use one tool. A first step was to create a wrapper underwhich every existing tool could sit. This would also include search and navigation.
This was a large project in both scope and team size. These projects tend to have lots of competition and politicing around the end solution. So I focused my contribution on what was needed for success. To me, it was blatantly clear the project goals were not well stated or shared. I facilitiated discussion and co-documentation of the goals and scope.
I then held design studios to brainstorm design ideas. I took these and made a few concepts. Once one was determined, I finalized a componentized breakdown of the design for development. I sat with the development team throughout production and saw the project through to release.
